Yield: 2 Mojitos Prep Time: 10 minutes
This recipe is a classic twist on a traditional mojito, with the addition of grapefruit, it has the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I used gin instead of rum, which is typically used in mojitos, to give it even more of a twist.
4 shots gin of choice
1 whole grapefruit, juiced
2 whole limes, juiced
15 Mint leaves
Agave to taste
2 shots Club Soda
Sugar for glass(Optional)
Prepare two glasses by dipping the rim in water and then rolling in sugar, fill glasses with ice, and set aside.
Wash mint and add about 15 leaves to the shaker.
Muddle leaves and juice together.
Add gin, club soda, and about 4 squirts of agave syrup to the shaker (you can add more or less depending on your desired sweetness level)
Add ice and shake.
Pour mixture into prepared glasses and garnish with mint.
Rum can be substituted for the gin if desired.
If you do not have club soda water can be substituted.
My recommendation for gin is Hendricks, it can be purchased at most liquor stores and is one of my favorites!
